My dog became ill on Wednesday July 29th however his regular vet was away when I brought him to Hillsboro Animal Hospital (HAH). With his entire history with HAH, I did not think that I needed to ask for a blood test for Louie; however, I was wrong. We must be the primary advocate for our pets to support their well being. I returned with Louie to Urgent Care at HAH the next morning where DR Paul Shinar was on Urgent Care duty. He did as much as he could to save Louie. During one of the most difficult times in my life, Dr Shinar extended sincere kindness and empathy to both me and my pet as he brought Louie to final rest.
